Q: The Brooklyn Cafe in Sandy Springs serves a fabulous Fig and Walnut Salad with a Ratatouille Vinaigrette. The vinaigrette has finely chopped vegetables and is wonderful. Would you please see if they would reveal the recipe?

A: "The point of the Brooklyn Cafe is to bring the eclectic tastes found in New York City's largest borough together," says owner/founder Greg Pine. TThis salad certainly epitomizes the eclectic concept, in that it combines Asian, Italian and French influences, all found in delicious abundance in Brooklyn. Pine generously supplied the recipe, and our tester liked its unique blend of spicy and sweet flavors.
