Made famous by: Dusty Rhodes Haverty of Marietta, who said this was a favorite from when he was growing up, especially on birthdays. His mother, Lu Allgood, of Buckhead will still make it for him upon request. "This incredibly easy dessert is also incredibly delicious, " he said.
Tip: This recipe is actually easier to double because 9-ounce boxes of cake mixes can be hard to come by.
Like a cherry crumble, this super-easy dessert features baked fruit on the bottom with a crispy-crumbly topping. If you decide to double the recipe, use a 9-by-13-inch pan.
