We like using chocolate chunks instead of standard chips, for more texture. For more swirl, add chocolate chunks while mixture is hot. For chunkier texture, cool longer before adding chocolate chunks. For easier cleanup and to prevent sticking, line your baking pan with parchment paper or foil.

Hands on time: 20 minutes  Total time: 25 minutes  Serves: 30 bars

Ingredients:

    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup light corn syrup
1 1/4 cups chunky peanut butter
6 to 7 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup chocolate chunks or chips

Instructions:

In a large saucepan, combine sugar and syrup. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Add peanut butter and stir until smooth. Add Rice Krispies, a cup at a time, mixing well to incorporate. Set aside for 2 to 5 minutes for mixture to cool slightly. Add chocolate chunks and stir to combine. Chocolate should melt slightly. Transfer to a lightly oiled 13-by-9-inch pan. Cover with waxed paper and press down to spread evenly. Let cool. Cut into squares.
