A touch of anise extract adds a twist to this gelatin fruit dessert

Ingredients:

2 bananas
1 (8-serving size) package black cherry gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 1/2 cups cold water
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 teaspoon anise extract
Whipped cream for garnish
Instructions:
Slice the bananas into 1/4-inch-thick rounds and divide among 8 glasses. In a bowl, combine the gelatin and boiling water; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in the cold water, orange juice and anise extract. Divide the mixture among the glasses. Chill until set. Before serving, garnish each glass with whipped cream.
Notes:
Chill in disposable, clear plastic glasses for easy post-party cleanup.
