Kickin' Chicken, Sausage and Shrimp Pasta

Lois Ann Daum of Lawrenceville gave this recipe its name after her son said, "This chicken is kickin'!" She suggests adding fresh basil and garlic for more flavor.

Hands on time:   Total time: 30 minutes  Serves: 8

Ingredients:

    1 pound linguine or other pasta
    1 pound spicy Italian sausage, cut into cubes
    4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
    1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
    2 cups prepared Alfredo sauce

Instructions:

Prepare pasta according to package instructions.
Meanwhile, in a lightly oiled large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the sausage for 5 minutes, turning often. Add chicken and cook sausage and chicken together for 15 minutes, or until cooked through, stirring often.
Add shrimp to the sausage and chicken, turning often for 3 minutes. Add Alfredo sauce to the skillet. Stir for about 5 minutes, or until hot.
Drain the pasta and transfer to serving bowl. Place sauce over pasta and toss to coat. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
