Sandra Hyder of Acworth sent her rendition of Pork Tenderloin a la King. This creamy dish has a comforting stewlike feel, good for a chilly evening. Bite-size pork is topped with an oniony sauce and served over rice. Take care not to overcook the pork.

Ingredients:

    3 tablespoons Knorr brand French onion soup mix, or to taste
    1 cup heavy cream
    1 1/2 pounds pork tenderloin, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1 (8-ounce) package mushrooms, trimmed and quartered

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mix soup mix and cream. In a casserole dish, combine pork and mushrooms. Pour cream mixture over pork and mix well to combine. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes or until cooked through.

Per serving: 375 calories (percent of calories from fat, 52), 39 grams protein, 5 grams carbohydrates, 1 gram fiber, 21 grams fat, 163 milligrams cholesterol, 383 milligrams sodium.
