Sesame-and-Ginger Asian Wet Rub for Chicken and Seafood

This rub borrows exotic flavors from Southeast Asia.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup sesame oil
1/4 cup Thai basil (conventional basil can be substituted)
1/4 cup fresh mint
4 garlic cloves
2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
4 tablespoons nam pla (Asian fish sauce, available at Asian markets and some supermarkets)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 cup sesame seeds, toasted, then ground
Instructions:
Place sesame oil, basil, mint, garlic cloves, fresh ginger, nam pla, soy sauce and sesame seeds in a food processor and process until smooth. Rub into chicken or fish before grilling.
