Spaghetti With Spicy Broccoli and Garlic

Ingredients:

12 ounces spaghetti
2 tablespoons butter
4 cups broccoli florets or 1 medium head broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
Prepare spaghetti according to package directions, reserving 1 cup cooking water.
Meanwhile, in a well-oiled skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add broccoli and saute until just tender. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and saute for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add pasta and stir to combine. Add reserved pasta water, a little at a time, to moisten to a saucelike consistency. Season with salt and pepper.
