I have always slow-cooked ribs, which is why this recipe caught my attention. Ribs in 30 minutes --- could that be? I tried it twice, and it was true. They cooked quickly and still had a nice smoky flavor from the doctored barbecue sauce.

Hands on time:   Total time: 30 minutes  Serves: 4

Ingredients:

    1 cup barbecue sauce
    2 teaspoons chili powder
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    4 pounds baby back pork ribs

Instructions:

Preheat the grill. In a small bowl, combine barbecue sauce, chili powder and cumin. Place ribs on grill. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, turning once. Baste ribs with sauce and grill an additional 20 minutes, or until cooked through, turning and basting frequently.

Nutrition:

Per serving: 523 calories (percent of calories from fat, 50), 54 grams protein, 9 grams carbohydrates, 1 gram fiber, 29 grams fat, 173 milligrams cholesterol, 650 milligrams sodium.
