Q: I would love to get the recipe for Surin of Thailand's Thai Iced Coffee. I've tried various concoctions of my own, to no avail.
-- Kathy Cline-Doten, Atlanta
A: This drink begins with a unique blend of Thai coffee and is sweetened generously with sugar and topped with half-and-half. The unusual coffee blend actually includes ground corn, soybean and sesame seeds. Chris Hedgepath, Surin's general manager, recommends finding the coffee at Hoa Binh on Buford Highway (770-457-3383) or First Oriental Market in Decatur (404-377-6950).
