Creating a five-ingredient chili was made easier by
the growth of salsa varieties (which provide lots of flavor plus hearty pieces of onions and peppers) and by using combination chili seasoning mixes available in the international section of the supermarket.

Hands on time:   Total time: 30 minutes  Serves: 4

Ingredients:

    1 1/4 pound ground turkey
1 (15-ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
    1 cup medium chunky-style salsa
    1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
    1-2 tablespoons chili seasoning mix

Instructions:

In a large, well-oiled skillet over medium-high heat, add turkey. Cook until no longer pink, 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently.

Notes:

I made this with ground turkey, but it can also be made with lean ground beef.
